SeaLink’s Rottnest Island ferry service hits market

The SeaLink ferry business servicing Rottnest Island is on the market after Adelaide-based Kelsian announced the sale of a big slab of the nationwide tourism division it has spent years building.

Kelsian said on Wednesday SeaLink WA would be offered for sale as part of a portfolio of ferry, tour and resort businesses in Queensland, South Australia, NSW, Tasmania and the Northern Territory to streamline the group and reduce debt.

The businesses, which also owns the Kingfisher Bay Resort on Queensland’s Fraser Island and Captain Cook Cruises on Sydney Harbour, generate about $160m in cumulative annual revenue.
