No new cost-of-living relief for WA despite $7b Budget boost
An iron ore windfall has boosted the State’s surplus to $2.5b, but treasurer Rita Saffioti has rejected claims a Government spending splurge and conservative estimates are hiding the true scale of WA’s coffers.
Higher-than-predicted iron ore and gold prices have been the big drivers of revenue growth, which is set to boost the Budget by $7.5 billion over four years.
