Dutton’s $100m pitch to WA’s junior miners
Peter Dutton has thrown his support behind junior explorers, announcing a $100 million election promise for WA’s mining pioneers which industry leaders say will get more drill rigs discovering more resource boons.
While touring Perth on Thursday, the Opposition Leader said reinstating the Junior Minerals Exploration incentive — which missed out in the recent Federal budget — was a “clear signal” of the Coalition’s pledge to invest into Western Australia’s key sector.
“If we can have a really vibrant economy of WA, then we can keep the Australian economy going,” he said while in Midvale.
