Climate 200 backs Kate Hulett with $30k for Fremantle seat
Kate Hulett’s ambition to pivot from WA politics to Canberra has received a financial boost, with a $30,000 donation from Climate-200.
The lobby group founded by Simon Holmes a Court put $50,000 towards her campaign to unseat Cook Government Minister Simone McGurk in the seat of Fremantle.
Ms Hulett came within 500 votes but ultimately fell short.
The Fremantle shop owner, who has spoken out against AUKUS and supported illegal anti-gas protests, said she believes momentum from the State election campaign will favour her new tilt at Federal politics.
